The Overlook at Geer’s Tree Farm was my favorite place to shoot last year! The lighting was great and the property has a Rustic New England Winter feel to it. I hope to see you this year at the Farm. I loved it so much I will be doing Winter Mini Sessions in November. For more detail and the chance to win a free session please Subscribe to the NEWSLETTER
I can’t wait to see you there!
I want to tell all you amazing Parents to Be about three upcoming maternity events.
The first is the next Bradley Method Birthing Class and will be starting October 11th. This is taught by amazing instructors to help you and your partner through the birthing process while reducing the anxiety and stress over what may or may not happen on your delivery day. They also help you through many other new parenting skills such as breastfeeding, nutrition, newborn care, and post-partum care for mama. Although I went to lamas classes when I was delivering, it was more of an informal class in the hospital with not much sensitivity or warmth. The Bradley Birthing Classes creat a warm, compassionate environment where you can learn and prepare with your partner and new friends. Visit Happy Mana Wellness at the link below or over on Facebook.
The second is the Spa Babymoon at the Ocean House in Watch Hill, RI on November 17th. I’m so excited for all you new parents! For my first two pregnancies nothing like this was around or recommended. My last pregnancy I did go to the chiropractor and once for a maternity massage. You couples out there have so much more at your disposal and this one event makes me so envious! If you have not had the pleasure of frequenting the Ocean House now is your chance! It’s a breathtaking, historical chateau right in the heart of New England and on the ocean! It doesn’t get better than that. Visit Ocean House at the link below or visit them on Facebook.
The third is my very own Limited Edition Winter Sessions. I will be giving away one maternity limited edition session this season. I found a great little tree farm last year which was perfect for winter sessions. The lighting was amazing and there were three perfect scenes to choose from for your session. The Overlook & Lanterns Scene, The Rustic Red Barn Scene, and Pine Trees & Blanket Scene. For more information please sign up for the newsletter below.
Feel free to tell me all about your participation in these events and visit me over on Facebook as well. Facebook

How FUN is this Rustic Fall Family Session??!! This Mom really wanted a session at the Sawmill in Ledyard, CT. It has that vintage antique feel, perfectly colorful foliage, and is quintessential New England. These beautiful twins had some amazing artistic visions of their own. Combining family ideas with photographic expertise makes for a one of a kind session.
Weren’t these guys great to humor me for our yearly family photo session??!! Of course it wouldn’t be our family photo shoot without my youngest giving me rabbit ears! Even after I bribed him to come and pretend to be happy. Fifteen years old, YES he has to pretend. LOL. I was still super grateful to all three of them for these photos. It’s so important to me that I have these photos. I LOVE Photos. Obviously… For me its a documentation of the past, present, and future of our family. Have you ever looked at an old photo album of yourself with your parents or even your grandparents. Aren’t you so grateful for those photos and memories. And while your looking at old memories your making new memories, right? Those are such precious moments in time and you will always remember them. Its so important to document these years because someday you are going to be the parent or grandparent that your children and grandchildren are looking through old photos with. Yes I think about that. That’s how special those memories have been for me with my parents and grandparents and even with my aunts and uncles. When your laughing and having fun in real time, one day you will be laughing and having fun while remembering about laughing and having fun. Sounds crazy I know but I don’t want to miss a single second of it. I hope you don’t either. Get your family together. Get those portraits taken. Get those albums made. You will be so grateful for it all one day.
Photography is the only real time machine. A photograph is your own personal journey into the past. A photo album is your own Story, Science Fiction Novel, or Comic Book. A photograph is evidence that time existed, life was lived, places were traveled, people were met, laughs were had, and adventures were experienced. Karrie Knowles
